As part of airfield improvements, the “S BEND” on Taxiway A west of 06/24 leading to RWY 11 treashold is now almost complete and the taxiway is open for use.
NOTE
The construction proces requires a period of a few months for the "HOT MIX" to settle before there can be an overlay applied. During this settling period there will be loose stones so pilots are reminded to use low power and keep moving forward over the repaired surfaces. Further compacting is planned which will force the stones into the settling hotmix so be aware of this suggested operational process.
