Runway closed
- Due to the following points, the entry point signs have been moved to display "ALL RUNWAYS CLOSED".
- impending arrival of TC Alfred,
- recommendation from the Government that all persons remain at home from the afternoon of Thursday 6th March 2025
- expected torrential downpour which will likely render the airfield unserviceable
- flooding on Aerodrome Rd near the airfield will likely prohibit access to the airfield
- Additionally, the "X" has NOT been pegged out near the main windsock as it not of a construction type or in a fit condition to survive the cyclonic winds.
- After the passing of the cyclone and when access is available, the ARO's and any committee member will survey the airfield and we can assess the required steps to be taken to declare the airfield serviceable.
- Please stay safe over the next few days and beyond.
